Earn with Fixed Limit
I tested this in 2007 to see if it viable and it is.
I played Fixed Limit 1/2 preferred 9 player tables.
When you get the hang of it you can easily play
3 tables at the time:
Handselection:
AA-1010
AK-AJ
With these hands you raise preflop if you chose to play a hand
allways open with a raise.
When you are in the blinds:
Do you get 5 x your money, call with average hands!
Do you get 7 x your money, call with any hand, even 7-2 off!
( When you know your opponents good, this can change a bit )
Always open with a preflop raise
-
You put presure on your opponent and aggression is always good
-
You find out about the strenght of your opponents hands
Flop ( here is the action )
-
If your opponent check, always bet on flop. No matter if you hit or not.
-
You will against a tight player take the pot home
-
You find out where you are in the hand.
Turn
· Here you need to decide where you stand, if in front, bet or raise.
· If you are behind, calculate your odds and act acordingly
River
-
If you still think you are best, bet/raise again
-
if you are in doubt call/check, you get good odds on that and often a guy with a missed draw will bet river in a desperate hope to get you to fold.
Read your opponents: ( preflop )
-
-
What does he normally raise with ?
-
What does he normally call with ?
-
Is he tight/loose preflop ?
-
Do they allways defend blinds ?
-
Are they agressive or passive preflop?
-
Read your opponents: ( on flop )
-
Does he checkraise and on what kinda hands ?
-
Do they play draws agressive or passive ?
-
Do they slowplay flopped flush/straight/house ?
-
Do they bluff a lot ?
-
Do they fold or allways call all the way to river ?
This will in the long run save you a lot of bets and often players play the same way
all the time you sit at that table.
Draws:
If you are in a HU situation try to bet your draw to the max(4x)
This indicates that you have a monster hand, often the opponent will check turn and if you did not hit your draw you can get a free card here.
On the other hand if you have a draw but there are 3-5 people in the pot, just call
you want them in the pot to give you good potodds to call your draw.
Bluff:
Never bluff in lowlimit games, its simply not profittable in the long run
Most people in fixed limit will call you to the river even if they just hit a little bit.
To flop medium pair:
Mostly you dont hit much on the flop, but what to do:
-
HU you will prolly call it down to the river, a lot of times you will be in front.
-
Multiway pots wehere there is a lot of action you are prolly beaten.
-
If you think you are in front bet/raise flop
-
if you get called by a tight player you are prolly behind.
-
By betting/raising flop you find out where you stand saving the bets on
turn and river where the bet are more expensive.
Use check/raise on flop if you are out of position or against an agressive player.
If you are in position or against a tight/passive player wait with the check/raise
until turn where you earn more.
Facts about low limit fixed on Carbon Poker:
